There are currently four tropical systems in The Atlantic to talk about. Hurricane Katia has been downgraded to a Category 2 storm. As forecast it is recuving and will head away from the eastern seaboard.
Tropical Depression #14 has developed this afternoon and may be hours away from developing into Tropical Storm Maria. This system may come very close to Puerto Rico in five days, and it remains to be seen if this system will affect the eastern seaboard.
Another system has developed in The Bay of Campeche in The Gulf. Any development will be slow and has a moderate chance of developing into Tropical Storm Nate.
Last, but least, is a tropical wave 500 miles to the east of The Leeward Islands. Conditions are not favorable for further development at this time.
